games + jams

I've produced games as part of my education and particpated in jams in my free time. I have developed projects in Rust (Bevy) and C# (Unity) from start to finish. Some of these projects were collaborations with other developers.

No Loose Threads

A submission to the Bevy Game Jam #4 - That's a LOT of Entities!. A fun puzzle game that shows further development. Still awaiting voting...

Mole Rancher Remastered

A new version of Mole Rancher, initially released one year prior, was created to demonstrate personal advancement in 3D art. The Bevy game engine in the Rust programming language was used.

A High Stakes Affair

A submission for the Bevy Game Jam #3 - Side Effects placing 12th in presentation of 78 entries. While it differed from my typical 3D art style, it did showcase improved artistic design.

Mole Rancher

A submission for the Bevy Game Jam #2 - COMBINE placing 5th overall of 84 entries. This was a fun project and was my introduction to Bevy and the Rust coding language.

Baby Bento Courier

A final year project that involved level design, character modelling and game development. This was a short 3D game with VR/PC cross-compatibility.

Interstitial DEMO

This game is my submission in the Now Play This 2024 festival. It centres on environmental design and player experience. Interstitial was developed with different types of monitors in consideration but was intended to be played on a CRT TV. This was created using the Unity game engine.

Synapse DEMO

During the summer of 2023, I undertook a personal project aimed at showcasing my coding skills in virtual reality gaming and 3D modelling following my graduation. This was created using the Unity game engine.


3D Modelling

The following are photos that I felt highlight my 3D modelling ability. I have predominantly used Blender however have experience with Solidworks, 3ds Max & Autodesk Inventor.


Dissertation

This research aimed to investigate whether simulations of workplace fire scenarios can improve fire safety skills.

Fire Marshal Training VR

This was the main part of my dissertation project where I explored how virtual reality technology can be utilised for training and simulating fire marshal techniques. This was created using the Unity game engine.
